The University’s reasoning for no longer buying apparel from Nike stems from the company’s support of Kaepernick.
The president of Truett McConnell University believes that when Kaepernick took a knee, he disrespected troops and law enforcement.
Dr. Emir Caner, the president of the university, made it very clear that his school’s store will not carry the Nike brand unless the athletic company issues an apology to troops and officers.
