According to Pop Culture, Netflix is currently testing displaying ads in between your favorite shows — Without an option to skip said ads.
We haven’t personally witnessed this yet, but a reddit thread is fired up about the test — With several users voicing their anger and frustration.
Many users feel they should have the option to skip watching the ads since they pay to use Netflix.
It is believed Netflix is currently testing the ads in countries other than the United States, however, it’s quite possible this could roll out to every Netflix subscriber.
As you know, Hulu also runs ads that can’t be skipped on their streaming service.
Time will tell if this is rolled out to all Netflix subscribers, but we won’t be surprised if this is the path Netflix decides to go down.
