VIDEO: Bruce Springsteen Jams At Reopening of Asbury Lanes
After undergoing nearly three years of renovations, the landmark bowling alley/concert venue Asbury Lanes reopened last night and got things started off right with an appearance from Bruce Springsteen.
Per the Asbury Park Press, The Boss joined the Tangiers Blues Band for a four-song set consisting of “Rockin’ Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu,” “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” “Down the Road Apiece” and “Twist and Shout.”
The reopening also doubled as a fundraising event for the Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County, which already received $125,000 from iStar, who own and operate Asbury Lanes and a number of other local properties.
