TRAILER: New Deep Purple Doc ‘From Here To InFinite’
Deep Purple is stoking anticipation for the home video release of its documentary “From Here To InFinite” with a new trailer in advance of the November 3 release.
The trailer offers footage from studio sessions for the group’s latest album, InFinite, as well as live footage, interviews and material from the album’s photo shoot. In addition to the actual documentary the trailer promises 136 minutes of bonus material, including outtakes, three unreleased performances from this year’s Hellfest in France (“Smoke On The Water,” “Time For Bedlam,” “Birds Of Prey”), official music videos and more.
Bassist Roger Glover tells us that InFinite is a great example of the way Deep Purple likes to make albums nowadays:
“As we go in to make an album we have no idea. We don’t sit down and have a meeting and say, ‘What are we gonna do?’ We just let the music do the talking…If I look back on it now, the album obviously sounds a bit heavier than ‘Now What?!,’ a bit denser, maybe, but it certainly wasn’t a plan. We never have a plan. We just jam and see what happens.”
Deep Purple has several other release planned for November, including the vinyl The Infinite Live Recordings, Pt. 1 and a Fire In The Sky compilation, also due out November 3. The group begins a new European tour on November 6 in Stockholm.
