U2 Teaming Up With Third Man Records For Record Store Day Black Friday Release
The team behind Record Store Day may have just released their big list of titles that will be available during their Black Friday event on November 24, but a major title has just been announced for release.
Exclusive for Record Store Day Black Friday will be a 12’ inch vinyl of U2’s “The Blackout,” which will be featured on their upcoming studio LP Songs of Experience. (U2 released a live performance of the track a couple of months ago and is embedded below.)
This single will be released by Jack White’s Third Man Records label with Side A containing the studio version of the track and Side B featuring a remix by Jacknife Lee, according to the label’s website.
Standard black vinyl editions of the release will be at participating Record Store Day shop locations, while Third Man’s storefronts in Nashville and Detroit and two yet-to-be-announced shops in the U.K. and Ireland will be selling a very limited colored vinyl pressing of the release. (And by “very limited,” we mean 750 copies total.)
