Freddie Mercury would’ve turned 71 today (September 5.) While the void he left has and will never be filled, the last thing he’d likely want is for fans the world over to mourn. He’d much rather us celebrate his life instead…
…and is there a better way to celebrate the wonder that was Freddie Mercury than by revisiting Queen’s classic performance from Live Aid in 1985? We think not.
No space on that stage at Wembley Stadium wasn’t touched by his strut. Every single note he sung was perfect. And that wide shot of the sprawling crowd clapping along to “Radio Ga Ga” is STILL chill-inducing.
