Giles Martin is shifting a bit after letting the cat out of the bag about the Beatles' next archival release plans.
Last week Martin revealed to the BBC that work had already started on an expanded deluxe edition of 1968's The Beatles, aka "The White Album," with "a lot of stuff" available for bonus material.
In the wake of that, however, Martin tweeted, "Just to confirm...I said the 'White Album' is the next Beatles album. I promise that I'm not working on it. Enjoy Sgt. Pepper first! X"
The expanded 50th anniversary edition of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" comes out on Friday (May 26), featuring a wealth of outtakes and video material from the sessions.
No timetable or other details have been revealed about "The White Album" reissue yet.
