Ringo Starr Announces All-Starr Band Tour Dates

Ringo Starr is bringing his All-Starr Band back on the road this year.

The Beatles drummer and crew kicks off October 13 with an eight-show residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas before heading out for 11 shows in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, New Jersey and New York City. The lineup again features Toto's Steve Lukather, Todd Rundgren, Journey/Santana alumnus Greg Rolie and Mr. Mister's Richard Page, which has been the All-Starr lineup for nearly six years.

Starr tells us that:

"I feel like we are a band, y'know, and so we know each other. We have a lot of fun. We play well, the songs are great and the audience love it, but sitting on the plane, sitting in the bus, sitting in the van, it's all OK...That's why we call it a band, y'know? Yeah, maybe my name in the front in the All Starrs, but we're a band that, we support each other."

Starr is currently working on a new album and recently posted studio photos with Beatles mate Paul McCartney and Joe Walsh. There's no word yet on when the album will come out.
