Guitar Greats: Jack White

There are few true "Renaissance Men" in rock, and carrying the torch for them in Jack White.

He was dubbed "Rock & Roll's Willy Wonka" in a May 2014 cover story for Rolling Stone (perhaps due to his slight resemblance to the Johnny Depp-version of the iconic character), but the brass at RS aren't that far off.  Between his work with The White Stripes and as a solo artist and the many avenues explored by his own Third Man Records, he's a business man that still stays true to his art and is absolutely uncompromising. His knowledge and passion for guitar are matched by a mere few, and it is that force that will keep White relevant for decades to come.
