Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Moving Tribute to Sib Hashian
Many tributes to former Boston drummer Sib Hashian poured in after his sudden passing last week, but one that took people by surprise came from actor/WWE Superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Johnson is in a relationship with Sib Hashian’s daughter, Lauren, with whom they have a daughter, Jasmine. Johnson referred to the late Hashian as his “second dad” in his tribute.
Rest In Peace & Love to my second dad Sib Hashian. Don't know why things have to happen the way they do sometimes. When loved ones leave us so suddenly without having a chance to say goodbye. Perhaps the lesson here is the reminder to live our lives as full and as present as we possibly can, because we just never know what's around the corner. What a full and exciting life this man lived. What an amazing family he created, loved, watched over and protected. Being on stage, in front of adoring fans, friends and family. Keeping the beat one last time. Your passing in this manner is extremely poetic and somehow beautiful. Thank you for the many life lessons you've taught over the years. Grateful. We love you Sib. We miss you. Yhmwitcoltroml. "Hasan burgers" for everyone in heaven.

ELO’s Bev Bevan Won’t Be Attending Rock Hall Induction Ceremony
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is known for its reunions, but it looks like ELO won’t be among them this year.
Former drummer Bev Bevan took to his Facebook page to inform fans he won’t be able to attend the ceremony due to some sold out Jasper Carrott tour dates that couldn’t be rescheduled.
At least there appears to be no malice as to why he’s not attending, which is always a nice change of pace when it comes to the Rock Hall induction ceremony.
RIP Don Hunstein and Pete Shotton
Sadly, two deaths in the classic rock world occurred over the weekend.
Photographer Don Hunstein, who was the staff photographer for Columbia Records and best known for the cover of The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan, passed away at the age of 88 from complications from Alzheimer’s disease.
Pete Shotton, who was John Lennon’s childhood best friend, passed away at the age of 75 due to a heart attack.
Erica Banas is a rock/classic rock reporter. The first man she ever loved was Jack Daniel. (True story.)
